There were many exciting and spectacular fights at UFC 263.
We want to highlight the three most important events that took place on June 13th.
The fastest knockout in UFC history: the American knocked out an opponent in 7 seconds.
Many spectators did not even have time to understand whether the battle had begun or not. The fight between two Americans, Terrance McKinney and Matt Frevola, at the UFC 263 tournament held in Glendale, Arizona, USA, ended with an incredible knockout.
After the traditional salute of the fighters, it took only 7 seconds for McKinney to take the victory. He managed to get a gorgeous deuce in the jaw of his opponent, which caused him to be knocked down. Terrance immediately rushed to finish off the enemy, after which the referee had to stop the fight. Perhaps Frivol forgot that his opponent is left-handed, for which he paid. Nobody expected such a remarkable and lightning-fast outcome.
This knockout became one of the fastest in the history of the UFC.
- McKinney, 26, has 11 wins on his list of accomplishments. The fighter has only three defeats.
- Frevola, 31, ended the fight in defeat for his third loss in the UFC. He has eight victories on his account.
Israel Adesanya defended the UFC middleweight belt.
The sensation did not happen: MMA fighter and kickboxer from New Zealand, Israel Adesanya, defeated Marvin Vettori.
In Glendale, Israel defended his title for the third time and had another fight against Vettori. There was not the slightest doubt about the advantage of the New Zealand fighter: despite the fact that the 27-year-old Italian held on firmly – he regularly missed accented punches and did not even think about countermeasures. As a result, the athletes spent only five rounds in the cage. Upon their completion, all the judges cast their votes in favor of the reigning champion Adesanya – three times 50:45.
Previously, these two have already met in a cage: this was in 2018. Then Israel defeated Vettori, but by a split opinion by the judge. Many call this fight the most difficult in the career of a New Zealand fighter.
Israel did not even try to take his opponent seriously, making fun of the stubborn Italian and his blows, but called himself the “Fucking King.”
Can someone punish the self-confident Adesanya? We’ll see…

Moreno becomes the new UFC flyweight champion
Mexican Brandon Moreno took the belt away from Deiveson Figueiredo to become the new UFC Flyweight Champion.
On Sunday, June 13th, at UFC 263 in Glendale, 33-year-old Brazilian fighter Figueiredo defended his championship title. He could not have imagined that Monero would provide such a high-quality rebuff and would turn out to be such a dangerous opponent.
For a long time, the champion could not approach the challenger, who very clearly held the defense and attacked in time. The fight’s outcome became evident in the third round when Morena managed to carry out a chokehold, and Figueiredo had to admit defeat by slapping the octagon with his palm. Thus, 27-year-old Brandon became the new “king” of the lightest division of the promotion.
Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather Exhibition Match Confirmed
For the fighters, this was the second fight in half a year. Earlier, in December, the fight between Moreno and Figueiredo ended in a draw. That fight did not leave the audience indifferent:
In 5 rounds, 504 punches were thrown, and 286 of them reached the target. The fighters spent almost 8 minutes on the ground.
The last meeting was difficult for Daveson because it became the second defense of the belt in 22 days, and shortly before the fight, he was in the clinic with food poisoning.
Interestingly, once, they wanted to fire Brandon from the prominent promotion of MMA, but now he is the first UFC flyweight champion from Mexico.
